CAPITALIST FORUM

..AN ISSUE AS BIG AS IT GETS HERE IN OUR SANTA FE!
NO,  NOT THE ECONOMY, KEEPING EVERYONE EMPLOYED, SAFE AND OUR CHILDREN FED, WHICH FROM THE NEWSPAPERS YOU'D THINK WERE OUTDATED OR SILLY CONCEPTS.....NO, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE ESSENCE OF LIFE;  AND ITSELF A SUBJECT OF CONTINUOUS DEBATE!!!

W A T E R

Whether you believe we're just now using 1500 year old water and sitting atop a significant aquifer as some hydrologists claim; we're legitimately in serious danger of running out; or that " now that I'm here, don't let anybody else in - there's barely enough water for me" crowd..your tenacious Program Committee waited 8 months to schedule a gentlemen who will give us as straight forward an assessment as we're likely to get.

HOW TO PRESERVE OUR WATER AND WETLAND RESOURCES IN SANTA FE COUNTY
BY: Jan-Willem Jansens

Jan-Willem Jansens will  present his research on water resource and land management in Santa Fe County. Based on a Wetlands Action Plan for Santa Fe County which he authored in 2012, he will  summarize the Wetlands Action Plan's recommendations for wetland assessments, institutional and technical solutions, ecological restoration priorities, and related public education, and discuss ideas for local governance of water resources.

Jan-Willem Jansens is a landscape planner who practices conservation planning for landscapes in transition through his business Ecotone in Santa Fe. Originally from the Netherlands, he received his professional training in Landscape Architecture from the Wageningen Agricultural University in the Netherlands. Jan-Willem has lived in Santa Fe with his wife and two children since 1993 after an eight-year career in international development assistance and education.
We'll be notifying you again in the next two weeks about this very important discussion, but make a note to attend!!

Remember: Capitalist Forum is having a significant impact in our town, state and around the world! Almost five years old and a membership list that would be the envy of any organization..
